Supporting Research in Primary Care

Whyburn Medical Practice is taking steps towards being involved in medical research, working in partnership with the National Institute for Health and Care Research [NIHR]. This is still in its infancy but we are being supported to take part in studies as we move towards research site accreditation.

What this means for our patients? In a nutshell, you may, from time to time, be approached to take part. Taking part in research is always voluntary and you can choose to accept or decline.  This will not affect the care that you receive from the practice in any way. Even if you agree to take part, you can still withdraw at any time without having to provide justification. Withdrawing from a study will NOT affect the care we provide for you.

Please take a look below at the current studies on offer.
