Patient Confidentiality

All staff in our Practice are bound contractually to maintain patient confidentiality and are required to take this seriously.

This expectation to maintain confidentiality extends to any family members: medical information relating to you will not be discussed with your family or any other person without your written consent. This includes spouses & partners.

However, you may wish other members of your family or close friends who might be involved in your care, to be able to talk to the staff about your care on your behalf. If this is the case, please contact the surgery for a consent to share form which will need to be completed and returned to us for recording on your record. In all cases, the patient giving access must complete and sign the form.
